The secret of cell reprogramming is in lizards.

A lizards's most known feature is their ability to rebuilt their tail one time it was broken for helping the escape of this small reptile. Like every ability of living organisms, this amazing capability is given by a gene in DNA, called WNT, and codify for a protein which, in turn, control a sequence of enzyme reactions which may growh the tail extremity after amputation.

WNT gene is also found in humans, but it is just involved in embryo development, for after being silenced in adult. This gene could be "switched on" for cell reprogramming, in order to reset their work and downgrade to induced puripotent stem cells. This is shown by a study published on Stem Cell Reports by a research team from the Centre of Genomic Regulation (CGR) in Barcellona.
