In fact, the particularity of this mammal is having two very long pointed ears, which end with long black hairs up to 8 cm. Caracal lives in Asia Minor ( especially Pakistan and India) and Central Africa. It loves dry and arid regions, without vegetation. So, caracal may hunt its prey easily in nightime.
Like all felines, caracal is a great hunter. Its diet is made up small antelopes, gazelles and gallinaceous birds, giving severa troubles to farmers in sheepfolds. In past, caracal had been raised by Old Egyptian for the hunting. In India, the big cat was used to catch antelopes.
