Concept
PROJECT'S OBJECTIVES
-Interaction between teenagers and seniors
- Develop friendships with older people
- Communication with the rest of the team
-Making the seniors to get used to new technologies
- To integrate seniors in society today
-To make the conflict between generations disappear
-To give seniors the opportunity to share their experiences
-To give teenagers the opportunity to learn from their experieces
-Creating seniors beautiful moments
-Offering seniors the opportunity to take part in shaping the character of teenagers
-To create awareness about intergenerational learning and social volunteering
- Implementing the new concept of intergenerational education in our society, as an important part of lifelong learning, using the game as a form of learning, socialization, social integration and capitalizing on the experience of each generation, and passions team members in this project social innovation and change of mindset, achieved through a play.
Learning objectives:
- Mutual knowledge and human and social links between mature generation (seniors) and generation of adolescents;
- Mutual exchange / transfer of knowledge between generations, to gain new life skills, knowledge and valuing them in a creative way;
- Development of social capital and social cohesion, exchange of values between generations in the community.
The Work Plan
Activities:
- bi-monthly common meetings between the group and senior class students involved in the project;
- discussions, exchange of experiences of life (seniors) and modern knowledge (students);
- conduct joint activities, based on the game / play: games creative imagination, logic, strategy, mini competitions games like "who knows wins" etc .;
- collective creation projects and artwork for the project;
- collective creation of a scenario for the play to be staged in the project, under the guidance of specialist teachers (teacher of Romanian language and literature and drama teacher);
- training / staging for the public presentation of the play created by the project participants interpreted (become authors-actors), coordinated and trained by a specialist teacher (actor and drama teacher);
- public presentation of performance achieved, in traveling performances (in high school in Iasi, in nursing homes and other locations);
- organization of thematic tours to historical, cultural and Christian, strengthening intergenerational established between the participants in the project activities;
- joint creation of a photo album (in digital form and printed) and a video album illustrating all actions carried out under the project;
- distribution of the two albums by all who attended or were involved in the project but also to other institutions or organizations may become, in turn, initiators of such projects

29 people starred in the play: 21 teenagers and 8 seniors from AFECT association (7 female and 1 male). The team was coordinated by - Alla Apopei – tutor teacher for 9 class - Manuela Beatrice Cotofan- head techer “Vasile Alecsandri” High school, Iasi - Ana Hegyi-Purice –director Parteners:
The staging of the play was a joy and authors, actors and public, because the show is to the fore the theme of love, the feeling that has no age and which ennobles people. At the beginning of the play, perspectives on love are two different generations, creating the source of the conflict, but during the action, touched young Cupid's arrow, turns, after coming into the forest full of wisdom, embodied by seniors wearing shirts with quotes from the opera "Homework" of Nicolae Dabija. This revelation occurs will determine later the young man, the mysterious young Asian dialogue, opening the trunk of values and life experience of seniors revealed protagonist, to realize the real meaning of life: love is the architect of the universe, the source of happiness and perpetuating being, people. The show ends with a personal tribute brought by each student one of his grandparents, by affixing their photos on their shirts, conveying the idea that will bear the name with dignity received. This musical was harnessed passions and talents of each participant (dance, music, sports, reading, etc.). After the show, it organized a meeting of stakeholders invited seniors and students from Răducăneni who submitted positive feedback and were impressed by the creativity, team spirit and involving young people and seniors Iasi, inviting them to center in their town to present the show in front of disadvantaged people and bringing a glimmer of joy. Preparing the script, the direction and choreography of the show and staging have an opportunity for communication, knowing each and knowledge transfer between generations. They have accumulated skills and competences both young and seniors, and by valuing their capital developed and improved social cohesion. The activities have led to increasing understanding of youth to the elderly and facilitating the exchange of values between generations. Not ultimately, capitalized work experience and community service each generation has reduced the generation gap. |

The show was exciting, removed barriers between generations, actors and spectators were thrilled with the final product of the collaboration. The students, teachers, parents and seniors Association expressed their affection and desire to cooperate in the future in other activities. Intergenerational activities will continue in different forms (cultural sightseeing, performances, touring performances in nursing homes and other locations in Iasi). The activity proved to be a successful impact on actors and spectators. Participants of all ages have learned to manage different situations, communicate more effectively and barriers between generations were wiped scenic game. Actors and spectators were thrilled with positive messages transmitted. From the testimonies of participants come off the wish to carry out other activities of impact to the community. |
